This extremely difficult 14.22-kilometer circular hike in the Kröndlhorn area offers breathtaking views and a challenging trail. The route starts at the parking area near Rotwand Grundalm and takes approximately 6 hours to complete.
As you make your way along the trail, you will encounter several points of interest. At just 1.31 kilometers from the start, you'll find the Rotwand Grundalm, an alpine hut where you can take a break and enjoy some refreshments. Further along, at around 5.54 kilometers, there is a water source for you to refill your bottles.
Midway through the hike, at 5.26 kilometers, you'll come across another water source. Be sure to stay hydrated, as the elevation gain of 1098 meters can be strenuous. Around the 6.51-kilometer mark, you'll reach the Kröndlhorn peak, offering panoramic views of the surrounding area.
