This hiking route takes you through the stunning area of Kröndlhorn, offering breathtaking views and challenging terrain. The trail is 14.22 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 1098 meters, making it extremely difficult and suitable for experienced hikers.
Starting at the parking area, you will begin your journey towards Kröndlhorn. Along the way, you will pass by the Rotwand Grundalm, an alpine hut where you can rest and enjoy a meal 1.31 kilometers into the hike. Further along the trail at 5.54 kilometers, you will come across a water source for refilling your supplies.
As you continue towards Kröndlhorn, you will encounter several more water sources at 3.61 kilometers, 5.1 kilometers, and 5.62 kilometers from the start. Be sure to stay hydrated throughout the hike and refill your water bottles whenever necessary.
One of the highlights of the hike is Reinkarsee, a beautiful alpine lake located 5.1 kilometers into the trail. Take a moment to admire the serene surroundings before continuing on your journey.
At the peak of Kröndlhorn, which is located 6.51 kilometers from the start, you will be rewarded with panoramic views of the area. As you make your way back, consider stopping by Kröndlberg, another peak offering stunning vistas at 6.17 kilometers into the hike.
