This hiking route takes you through the beautiful alpine landscape of Niederer Prijakt. With a distance of 14.131 kilometers and an elevation gain of 1352 meters, this hike is classified as extremely difficult and is recommended for experienced hikers.

As you start your journey, you will come across the Parkplatz Hochschoberhütte where you can park your vehicle before hitting the trail. Moving along, at 3.07 kilometers from the start, you will spot the historic wayside cross known as Kreuz.

Further along the trail, at 4.1 kilometers from the start, you will find the Hochschoberhütte, a restaurant and alpine hut where you can take a break and enjoy some local cuisine. Just a short distance away, at 4.1 kilometers, is the information point Abzweigung zum Prijakt, providing you with insights about the area.

Continuing on, at 5.36 kilometers from the start, you will reach the Barrensee, a scenic spot to admire the natural beauty. As you approach the 5.91-kilometer mark, you will find another water point before heading towards the peaks.

At the midway point, 6.65 kilometers from the start, lies the Hoher Prijakt peak, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. Just a bit further at 6.28 kilometers is the Westliche Barreneckscharte saddle, a great spot to take in the vistas.

Towards the end of your journey, 7.07 kilometers from the start, you will reach the Niederer Prijakt peak, the ultimate destination of your hike. Take in the stunning views before making your way back along the same trail.

Remember to bring plenty of water, snacks, and proper hiking gear as this trail is challenging. Additionally, it is recommended to check the weather forecast before embarking on this adventure.
