This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area surrounding Niederer Prijakt. The trail is 14.131 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 1352 meters, making it an extremely difficult hike that will challenge even experienced hikers. It is recommended to set aside approximately 6 hours and 39 minutes to complete this hike.
Along the way, you will encounter several points of interest. At the beginning of the trail, you will find Parkplatz Hochschoberhütte, a parking area where you can leave your vehicle before starting the hike. As you make your way up the trail, you will come across Kreuz, a historic wayside cross located 3.07 kilometers from the start. Hochschoberhütte, an alpine hut and restaurant, is also located along the trail at 4.1 kilometers from the start. This is a great spot to take a break and refuel before continuing on your journey.
Further along the trail, you will pass by Sophien Brundl, a drinking water source located 3.8 kilometers from the start, providing a refreshing stop for hikers. As you approach the 5.36 kilometer mark, you will reach the Abzweigung zum Prijakt, a point where you can take a turn towards the Prijakt peak. Continuing on, you will reach Hoher Prijakt, a peak situated 6.65 kilometers from the start, offering stunning panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.
Towards the end of the trail, at 7.07 kilometers from the start, you will reach Niederer Prijakt, the final destination of the hike. This peak provides a rewarding end point for your journey, with breathtaking views as far as the eye can see.
