This hiking route takes you through the stunning area of Lacs Variclès in the beautiful countryside. The route is an out-and-back type, totaling a distance of 6.626 kilometers with an elevation gain of 465.0 meters, making it a moderate difficulty hike.
As you start your journey, you will come across the Rifugio Tallone alpine hut, a perfect spot to rest and take in the surrounding nature before continuing on. Further along the trail, about 1.37 kilometers from the start, you will reach the peak of Testa di Colla Auta / Tête de Colle Haute, offering panoramic views of the area.
Around the midpoint of the trail, at approximately 3.28 kilometers from the start, you will find the picturesque Lacs Variclès, a series of beautiful lakes that provide a serene setting for a break or a picnic. Nearby, you may also encounter the historic ruins of Lago del Colle di S. Anna and Pas de Sainte-Anne / Passo Sant'Anna, adding a touch of history to your hike.
As you make your way back, be sure to stop by the Masso dell'apparizione memorial and take a moment to reflect. Additionally, keep an eye out for the various information points scattered along the trail, providing insights into the area's heritage and natural features.
