This extremely difficult hiking route takes you on an out-and-back journey to the destination known as D-11 - Cabaña Verónica-Urriellu. The trail spans a distance of 12.249 kilometers with an elevation gain of 773 meters, making it a challenging but rewarding experience for avid hikers.
Starting at the trailhead, you will pass by Lagos de Lloroza, located 2.65 kilometers from the starting point. These pristine lakes offer a picturesque spot to take in the natural beauty of the area. As you continue on, you will encounter Collado de Juan Toribio, a saddle point situated 1.18 kilometers from the start.
Along the way, you will also come across various amenities such as parking areas, a cafe, a restaurant, and Refugio Cabaña Verónica, an alpine hut located 5.41 kilometers from the start. This hut provides a convenient resting point for hikers to refuel and recharge before continuing on their journey.
For those interested in exploring peaks, there are several peaks to be discovered along the trail, including one at 5.54 kilometers, another at 5.65 kilometers, and more scattered throughout the route.
