This hiking route will take you through the beautiful area of Diebsöfen - Almen am Kaiser. The trail is an out-and-back type, with a total distance of 4.946 kilometers and an elevation gain of 351 meters, making it a moderate difficulty hike. It is estimated to take around 2 hours.
As you start your journey, you will come across the Rettenbachparkplatz parking area, where you can leave your vehicle before starting the hike. As you continue on the trail, you will find the Regenunterstand shelter at around 0.04 kilometers from the start, providing a nice resting spot along the way.
Further along the trail, at approximately 0.62 kilometers from the beginning, you will encounter the Schmiederer information point, offering insights into the area. Continuing on, at 1.02 kilometers, there is another information point, followed by a bench at 1.05 kilometers for a brief rest.
Midway through the hike, at approximately 2.47 kilometers from the start, you will reach Diebsöfen, a cave entrance, and a waterfall, providing a scenic spot to take in the beauty of the surroundings.
