This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area surrounding Cime des Lacs. The trail is a moderate difficulty, with a total distance of 4.75 kilometers and an elevation gain of 353 meters. It is an out-and-back route, starting and ending at the parking area.

As you begin your hike, you will come across Lac Long Inférieur, which is located right at the start of the trail. Further along the path, about 0.46 kilometers from the start, you will reach Lac Fourca. This serene lake is a great spot to take a break and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.

About 0.92 kilometers into the hike, you will pass by Lac Mouton, another picturesque lake along the way. As you continue on, you will reach Refuge des Merveilles, an alpine hut located 0.22 kilometers from the trail. This might be a good place to rest and refuel before continuing your journey.

Midway through the hike, at around 0.77 kilometers from the start, you will encounter a spring where you can refill your water supply. Additionally, there is a campsite located 0.29 kilometers from the trail for those looking to extend their adventure overnight.

Towards the end of the hike, at 2.37 kilometers from the start, you will reach the peak of Cime des Lacs. The view from the top is breathtaking and definitely worth the climb. Along the way, you will also come across information points and the Vallée des Merveilles, providing insight into the history and significance of the area.

Before embarking on this hike, make sure to bring plenty of water, as there are only a few water sources along the trail. Additionally, check the weather forecast and trail conditions before setting out to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.
