This extremely difficult hiking route will take you to the stunning Cima Cairas, also known as Le Cayras. The trail spans a total distance of 16.789 kilometers with an elevation gain of 1614 meters, so be prepared for a challenging trek that will test your physical endurance.
Starting at the trailhead, you'll make your way through picturesque alpine scenery, passing by the beautiful Lac de Trécolpas at around 4.65 kilometers from the start. This serene lake provides a perfect spot to take a break and soak in the peaceful surroundings before continuing your journey.
As you progress along the trail, you'll reach the Refuge de la Madone de Fenestre at approximately 0.21 kilometers from the start. This alpine hut offers a cozy retreat for hikers looking to spend the night in the mountains.
