Welcome to the Gläserkogel hiking route, a challenging and extremely difficult 12.3-kilometer circular trail that offers stunning views and a variety of points of interest along the way.

Starting at the Kohlebnerstand parking area, you will begin your journey with a steep ascent towards the Karleck peak, located 4.21 kilometers from the start. As you make your way up, you will pass by the Kutatschhütte alpine hut, a perfect spot to take a break and enjoy the surrounding nature.

Midway through the hike, approximately 6.11 kilometers from the start, you will reach the Gläserkogel peak, where you can savor panoramic views of the area. Be sure to bring plenty of water and snacks as this trail is quite demanding, with an elevation gain of 515 meters.

Along the route, you will also encounter various other points of interest such as picnic sites, information points, viewpoints, and historic landmarks like the wayside cross at 2.16 kilometers from the start.
