This hiking route will take you through the beautiful area surrounding Alto de la Escaleruela. With a total distance of 11.344 kilometers and an elevation gain of 545 meters, this route is rated as difficult but rewarding.

As you start your journey, you will pass by Aparcamiento Hayedo Tejera Negra, a parking area located just 4.67 meters from the trailhead. Further along the trail, at a distance of 0.08 kilometers from the start, you will come across a refreshing spring, perfect for a quick break.

Midway through the hike, at a distance of 1.32 kilometers from the start, you will reach a viewpoint that offers breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. This is a great spot to take in the scenery and snap some photos.

Continuing on, you will encounter Collado del Hornillo, a saddle located 2.71 kilometers from the start of the trail. From here, you can enjoy a brief rest before continuing your ascent towards the peak.

At the endpoint of the route, 5.67 kilometers from the beginning, you will reach Alto de la Escaleruela, the highest point of the hike. Take some time to soak in the stunning views from the peak before beginning your journey back.
