Welcome to the hiking route to Bregarjevo zavetišče! This moderate 6.5 kilometers out-and-back trail with an elevation gain of 438 meters will take you through the picturesque landscape of the area.
Starting from the parking lot close to the trailhead, you will begin your adventure. Along the way, you will come across several points of interest. At around 2.2 kilometers from the start, you will find the Koča na Planini pri Jezeru alpine hut, where you can take a break and enjoy some local hospitality.
As you continue your hike, at the 2.3 kilometer mark, you will encounter a water source, perfect for refilling your water bottles. At this point, you will also find a drinking water station to hydrate before continuing your journey.
Further along the trail, at 3.3 kilometers from the start, you will reach Bregarjevo zavetišče, another alpine hut offering a resting spot with stunning views. This can be a great turnaround point for your hike.
Throughout the trail, you will also find informative signposts providing insights into the area's history and natural features. Additionally, a viewpoint awaits you at the 3.3 kilometer mark, offering a panoramic vista of the surroundings.
For those interested in exploring further, Botrova jama, a cave entrance, is located at 2.1 kilometers from the start, although not directly on the trail.
