This extremely difficult 12.685-kilometer out-and-back hiking route will lead you to the stunning peak of Veliki Šmohor. Starting at the parking area, you'll begin the challenging ascent towards the peak. As you make your way up, you'll come across some points of interest along the trail.

Early on in the hike, at just 0.03 kilometers from the start, you'll find Dom Dr. Klementa Juga, a cozy alpine hut where you can take a break and refuel. Further along, around 3.75 kilometers from the start, you'll reach Planinski dom pri Krnskih jezerih, another alpine hut surrounded by beautiful scenery.

Around the midway point of the hike, at 4.2 kilometers from the start, you'll encounter an information point where you can learn more about the area. Continuing on, at 4.36 kilometers from the start, you'll pass by Mlaka na Planini Duplje, a refreshing water source perfect for a quick rest.

As you approach the peak, you'll find Snegomer and Vrh Duplja, both offering stunning views of the surrounding landscape. Finally, at 6.34 kilometers from the start, you'll reach the majestic Veliki Šmohor, where you can enjoy panoramic views as a reward for your challenging hike.

Given the length of the trail and the significant elevation gain of 1293 meters, this hike is definitely not for the faint of heart. Make sure to bring plenty of water, snacks, and sturdy footwear. Additionally, it's essential to check the weather forecast before embarking on this adventure to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.
