This extremely difficult 14.131-kilometer circular hiking route will lead you through the stunning area surrounding Le Grand Ferrand. The trail begins at Saboyer parking and takes approximately 7 hours to complete.
As you start your journey, you'll pass by La Hétraie Sapinière information point, where you can learn more about the local flora and fauna. Continuing onwards, you'll come across a bench for a quick rest stop at 0.14 kilometers from the start.
As you trek further, at 3.71 kilometers from the start, you'll reach Lac du Lauzon, a beautiful water feature perfect for a picturesque break. Further along at 4.33 kilometers is the Col de Charnier, a scenic saddle point along the trail.
As the hike progresses, you'll encounter Le Grand Ferrand peak at 6.8 kilometers from the start, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding landscapes. Along the way, you'll also pass by the Source du Lauzon spring at 3.76 kilometers from the start.
