The trail begins at the parking area near La-Haut Alpine Hut and Luge sur rails attraction. As you start your journey, make sure to stop by L'Avalanche Restaurant for a quick bite before heading out. The trail is considered difficult due to its length of 9.081 kilometers and elevation gain of 741 meters, so be prepared for a challenging hike.

As you continue along the trail, you'll come across the Carrefour du Vargnoz information point, which is located 0.52 kilometers from the start. This is a great spot to learn more about the area and the trail you are hiking. Further along, at 3.33 kilometers from the start, you'll reach a viewpoint where you can take in stunning panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.

For those interested in free flying, there are designated takeoff points at Décollage de la Sambuy (3.37 kilometers from the start) and Sambuy 3 (1.94 kilometers from the start). These spots offer a unique opportunity to experience the thrill of free flying in this beautiful region.
