This extremely difficult 10.309-kilometer out-and-back hiking route will take you to the stunning Muttegrub peak in the beautiful area of Oberer Kofelraster. The trail begins at Alte Säge parking area and winds through breathtaking alpine scenery. Along the way, you will pass by the picturesque Oberer Kofelraster See - Lago Di Covolo Superiore, located 3.22 kilometers from the start, offering a serene spot to rest and take in the surroundings.

As you continue on, around 1.56 kilometers from the start, you will reach the Latschiniger Alm restaurant where you can refuel and enjoy some local cuisine. Further along the trail, at the 5.15-kilometer mark, you will find yourself at the impressive Muttegrub peak, marked by its breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape.

Make sure to bring plenty of water and snacks, as this challenging hike involves an elevation gain of 1229 meters and will take around 5 hours and 27 minutes to complete. Additionally, checking the weather forecast before embarking on this journey is highly recommended. Remember to stay hydrated and take breaks when needed to fully enjoy the beauty of this demanding yet rewarding hike.
