This extremely difficult hiking route takes you through a stunning natural area with a total distance of 12.546 kilometers and an elevation gain of 853 meters. The estimated duration of this hike is 5 hours and 2 minutes.
Starting from the parking area, you will begin your journey on this circular route. Just a short distance from the trailhead, you will find the agritur Scalzerhof restaurant where you can fuel up before the challenging hike ahead. As you continue on, about midway through the trail, you will come across the Baracca Grande Guerra shelter, offering a place to rest and take in the surroundings.
Further along the trail, at a distance of 3.51 kilometers from the start, you will reach the Passo Cagnon di sopra saddle, a noteworthy natural feature. Nearby, at 3.35 kilometers from the start, you will encounter the historic Croce Giorgio Lenzi wayside cross and a convenient bench for a brief break.
Throughout the hike, you will come across several information points providing insights into the area and its history. Make sure to stay hydrated by utilizing the drinking water facilities located along the trail, such as the one at 0.54 kilometers from the start.
As you reach the latter part of the hike, you will be rewarded with breathtaking views from the Baitol peak. Additionally, the Campanile del Baitol peak and the Campanile del Baitol wayside cross are prominent landmarks at the end of the trail.
