This hiking route takes you through the stunning area of Monte Sentinella and Monte Gemma. The trail is a circular route with a total distance of 7.486 kilometers and an elevation gain of 505 meters, making it a difficult hike that will challenge both your endurance and your hiking skills.

As you start your journey, you will come across a parking area where you can leave your vehicle before hitting the trail. Along the way, you will also pass by the wilderness hut known as Capanna Maguccio, a perfect spot to take a rest and enjoy the surrounding nature.

One of the highlights of the hike is reaching the peak of Monte Gemma, located approximately 2.89 kilometers from the start of the trail. From here, you can enjoy panoramic views of the area, including a viewpoint at 3.35 kilometers from the start.

Further along the trail, you will encounter a cave entrance at 3.03 kilometers, a wayside cross at 3.14 kilometers, and a drinking water source at the beginning. Make sure to refill your water supplies here, as staying hydrated is crucial on this challenging hike.

For those interested in history, there is an information point at 2.66 kilometers from the start, providing insights into the area's heritage. As you continue your journey, you will also come across a spring named Fontana Santa Serena at the beginning, offering a refreshing stop along the way.

Throughout the trail, you will find picnic sites where you can take a break and refuel your energy. These picnic sites are located at various points along the route, ensuring you have a designated spot to relax and enjoy a meal with a view.
