This extremely difficult out-and-back hiking route will take you to the stunning Ferrarecce destination. The trail spans approximately 16.278 kilometers with an elevation gain of 1287.0 meters, promising a challenging yet rewarding experience.

Starting from the parking area located right at the trailhead, you will begin your journey through the picturesque landscape. Along the way, you will pass by the historic castle, located just 0.09 kilometers from the start. Take a moment to admire the architecture before continuing on your adventure.

As you trek further, you will find drinking water sources at 0.11 kilometers and a refreshing spring named Fonte dei Copelli at 2.99 kilometers from the start, allowing you to replenish your supplies and stay hydrated throughout the hike.

Midway through the hike at approximately 5.73 kilometers, you will come across a natural water feature, providing a serene spot to relax and take in the surroundings. Further along the trail at 5.79 kilometers, another water source awaits for you to rest and recharge before continuing your journey.

At 7.7 kilometers, another water point is available, offering a perfect opportunity to take a break and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. And at 8.14 kilometers, you will reach the alpine hut named Ferrarecce, providing a cozy shelter and a place to rest before your return journey.

For the more adventurous hikers, a peak named Difesa del Dente is located off the trail at 8.14 kilometers. Though not directly on the path, it offers a challenging side trek for those seeking a higher vantage point.
