The Route des Crêtes is a super easy hiking trail that spans 1.457 kilometers with an elevation gain of 33 meters. This picturesque route offers stunning views and a leisurely hike for all skill levels.
Starting at the trailhead, you will find a convenient parking area to leave your vehicle before embarking on your journey. Along the way, approximately 0.21 kilometers from the start, you will come across a lovely picnic site where you can take a break and enjoy a snack.
Continuing on, at around 0.3 kilometers from the beginning, you will reach Firstacker, a notable saddle point that provides a great vantage point of the surrounding area. Be sure to stop and admire the views before moving on.
As you progress further, about 0.53 kilometers from the start, you will encounter Le Sudelkopf, a peak that is slightly off the trail but worth the extra distance for breathtaking panoramic views.
Near the midpoint of the hike, at approximately 0.73 kilometers from the start, you will find another peak, offering a different perspective of the landscape. Additionally, there is a boundary stone and a bench for resting and taking in the scenery.
Towards the end of the route, about 0.73 kilometers from the start, you will find a natural spring where you can refill your water supply before heading back.
