This hiking route will take you to the scenic area around Chiesa del Santo Sudario in Ormea. The route is an out-and-back type, starting at a parking area near the church. Before starting your hike, make sure to check the weather forecast and bring enough water for the journey.

As you begin your hike, you'll pass by Monumento all'Alpino, a historic monument honoring the Alpine soldiers. Further along the trail, you'll find informational points where you can learn more about the area and Villaro, a charming village. As you continue on the trail, you'll come across Ufficio Turistico Ormea, where you can gather more information about the area. Enjoy the beautiful views from the viewpoint at a distance of 5 km from the start. Don't miss the Pilone di Teco shrine and other informational points along the way.

After your hike, you can relax and grab a bite to eat at Pizzeria La Via del Sale or enjoy a drink at Bar da Gemma, Pub Sesto Senso, or Bar dell'Olmo. Make sure to visit Parco della Lea for a picnic before heading back.
