Welcome to Sauefjellheia, a beautiful hiking area with stunning views and varied terrain. This out-and-back trail covers a distance of 8.557 kilometers with an elevation gain of 173 meters, making it a difficult but rewarding hike.

As you start your journey, you will find parking options conveniently located at the trailhead. Be sure to bring plenty of water and snacks for the hike ahead. The first interesting point of interest you will encounter is Støletjønn, a picturesque water feature located 2.3 kilometers from the start of the trail.

Continuing on, you will pass by several more water sources, including one at the 3.47 kilometer mark and another at 4.28 kilometers. These spots provide great opportunities to rest and refuel while enjoying the peaceful surroundings.

Throughout the hike, you will be treated to panoramic views of the surrounding landscape, and on clear days, you may even catch a glimpse of the distant mountains. Remember to check the weather forecast before embarking on this adventure, as conditions can change quickly in the mountains.
