This hiking route will take you to the beautiful area around Wolfertturm, starting at an elevation of 528 meters and reaching up to 550 meters at the destination. The trail is a circular route with a total distance of 6.31 kilometers and no elevation gain, making it a relatively easy hike suitable for all levels of hikers.
As you begin your journey, you'll come across various points of interest along the way. Just at the start, you'll find the picturesque Wolfert-Teich, a tranquil water feature where you can take a moment to appreciate the surrounding nature. Further along the trail, you'll encounter a bicycle parking area and a couple of parking spots for those arriving by car.
One of the highlights of the hike is the Wolfertturm, a historic monument and viewpoint that offers stunning panoramic views of the area. The tower is wheelchair accessible and open on Sundays from 10:00-12:00 and 14:00-16:00, as well as on Easter Monday until October. Be sure to climb to the top for an even better vantage point.
As you continue on the trail, you'll pass by a bench for a quick rest and a memorial dedicated to the fallen soldiers of 1870/71. Near the end of the hike, you'll find another bench where you can enjoy a break and a drinking water station to refill your water bottle.
