This hiking route will take you through the beautiful area surrounding Col du Bonhomme. The trail is 8.92 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 703 meters, making it a difficult but rewarding hike.
As you begin your journey, you will come across a parking area at the trailhead. Further along, about 0.2 kilometers into the hike, you will see the Chapelle de la Gittaz, a historic wayside shrine located just off the trail.
Around the 4.4-kilometer mark, you will reach Abri du Col de Bonhomme, a shelter where you can take a break and enjoy the surroundings. Nearby, you will also find Col du Bonhomme, a natural saddle with stunning viewpoints.
Along the way, at approximately 1.63 kilometers into the hike, you will encounter Chemin du Curé, an information point providing insight into the area. Continuing on, at 2.66 kilometers, you will pass by La Sausse, another informational stop.
At the midway point of your hike, around 4.4 kilometers into the trail, you will find a summit hut where you can rest and take in the panoramic views.
