This challenging 8.072-kilometer out-and-back hiking route will take you to the stunning Col de la Gittaz in the Fenêtre area. The trail starts at a parking area at the trailhead. As you begin your hike, you will come across the Chapelle de la Gittaz, a historic wayside shrine located 0.38 kilometers from the start of the trail.

Around the 2.92-kilometer mark, you will encounter ruins that add a sense of history to the hike. Further along the trail, at the 4.04-kilometer mark, you will find a water source to refill your bottles. There is also a viewpoint nearby for a breathtaking panorama, although it is slightly off the main trail.

Towards the end of the hike, around the 4.04-kilometer mark, you will reach the Col Est de la Gittaz, a natural saddle that offers a peaceful spot to rest and enjoy the surroundings. Additionally, there is an information point at the Col de la Gittaz, providing insights into the area's history and geography.
