This challenging 11.4-kilometer hiking route takes you to the stunning Spitzhorli peak in the picturesque area of Hopschelsee. The trail starts at a convenient parking area with no fees and leads you through beautiful natural landscapes.
As you begin your journey, you'll pass by the tranquil Hopschelsee lake, located just 0.78 kilometers from the start of the trail. Further along the route, at the 4.08-kilometer mark, you'll encounter another serene water feature. Be sure to carry enough water with you as these are the last water sources on the trail.
Midway through the hike, at approximately 4.82 kilometers from the start, you'll reach the Üsserie Nanzlicke saddle, offering a perfect spot to rest and take in the panoramic views. Along the way, you'll also find informative signs and benches for your convenience.
As you near the end of the trail, you'll come across the Monte-Leone restaurant, perfect for refueling after your trek. Finally, the highlight of the journey is reaching the Spitzhorli peak at 5.7 kilometers from the start, where you can enjoy breathtaking vistas of the surrounding area.
