Welcome to Via del Santuario, a challenging 8-kilometer out-and-back hiking route with an elevation gain of 679 meters. This trail offers breathtaking views and a variety of points of interest to explore along the way.
Starting at the parking area conveniently located at the beginning of the trail, make sure to grab some drinking water from the nearby fountain before embarking on your journey. As you begin your hike, you'll come across the picturesque Capitello Mariano wayside shrine just 0.11 kilometers from the start.
Continue along the trail to reach the Bornass alpine hut at the 3.38-kilometer mark. This is a great spot to take a break and refuel before tackling the remaining ascent. Throughout the hike, be sure to check out the informative signs at the tourist information points located at 2.52 kilometers into the route.
At the 4.01-kilometer mark, you'll reach a stunning viewpoint where you can rest and take in the panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Just a bit further along, at 3.39 kilometers from the start, you'll find another drinking water station to stay hydrated.
As you make your way back to the starting point, be prepared for a challenging trek with rewarding sights along the way.
