The Plackweg hiking route offers a moderate challenge for outdoor enthusiasts, with a total distance of 5.217 kilometers and an elevation gain of 109 meters. The estimated duration for this circular route is 1 hour and 28 minutes.

Located in a scenic area, the trail begins at a convenient parking lot. As you start your journey, you will come across Pieper´s Ruh, a peaceful bench where you can take a moment to rest and enjoy the surroundings, approximately 1.18 kilometers from the starting point.

Further along the trail, at around 2.45 kilometers from the beginning, you will find a natural water source, providing a refreshing spot to refill your water bottle. Additionally, at 2.51 kilometers into the hike, there is an information point offering insights about the area.

For those interested in history, about 0.24 kilometers from the start, there is a memorial known as Galgenberg - Die Arnsberger Richtstätte. This historical site adds a cultural aspect to the hike.

As you continue on the trail, you may encounter another water source, around 2.52 kilometers from the start, providing another opportunity to rest and rehydrate.

Although the trail may lead you near peak Galgenberg and other interesting locations, they are slightly off the main trail, not accessible directly from it.
