The Plackweg hiking route is located in a scenic area with plenty of natural beauty to enjoy. The trail is relatively easy, with a total distance of 4.767 kilometers and an elevation gain of 76 meters, making it suitable for hikers of all levels.

As you start your hike, you will come across a parking area located right at the beginning of the trail, making it convenient for you to park your vehicle before embarking on your journey. Along the way, you will encounter several points of interest, including a tranquil water body approximately 1.95 kilometers from the start, where you can take a moment to appreciate the surrounding nature.

About 1.18 kilometers into the hike, you'll find a rest spot called Pieper´s Ruh, where you can take a break, enjoy the scenery, and maybe have a snack. Further along the trail at around 2.38 kilometers, another water feature offers a picturesque view for you to enjoy.

Although the trail is mostly easy, there are a couple of points of interest slightly off the trail, such as Galgenberg, a peak located approximately 0.0 kilometers from the start, and a historic memorial called Galgenberg - Die Arnsberger Richtstätte, about 0.24 kilometers from the beginning of the hike. These sites might be worth a visit if you're interested in exploring further.
