This hiking route takes you to the beautiful area around Monte Penzo. With a distance of 5.442 kilometers and an elevation gain of 264 meters, this moderate difficulty hike can be completed in approximately 1 hour and 55 minutes.
Starting at the designated parking area, you will make your way towards the trail, passing by a wayside cross at 0.48 kilometers from the start. As you continue on the trail, you will come across a drinking water source at 0.81 kilometers, perfect for refilling your water bottle before venturing further.
At 1.63 kilometers from the start, you will encounter the peak of Monte di Pezza, offering stunning panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Further along the trail, at 2.15 kilometers, you will reach the saddle known as Ballo della Gallina, providing a picturesque spot to take a break and enjoy the scenery.
The highlight of the hike is reaching the peak of Monte Penzo at 2.72 kilometers, where you can take in breathtaking views from the summit. After exploring the area, you can retrace your steps back to the starting point, passing by the various points of interest once again.
