This extremely difficult hiking route takes you through the breathtaking area surrounding Mount James Walker. With a total distance of 61.931 kilometers and an elevation gain of 1075 meters, this hike is not for the faint of heart.
Starting at the Pocaterra Parking area, you will venture into the wilderness, following the trail that leads you through the stunning landscape. Along the way, you will come across various points of interest.
At the beginning of the trail, you will find parking areas for your convenience. As you continue on, around the 10.62 kilometer mark, you will encounter the Pocaterra Hut, where you can take a break and enjoy the magnificent views.
Further along the route, you will pass by water sources where you can refill your supplies, such as at the 11.24 kilometer mark and the 12.48 kilometer mark. There are also camping sites available at the 11.99 kilometer mark for those looking to spend the night in the wilderness.
