Welcome to the Schablweg hiking route!

Schablweg is located in a picturesque area with stunning views and plenty of natural beauty to enjoy. The route is an out-and-back trail, covering a distance of 2.146 kilometers with an elevation gain of 34 meters, making it an easy hike suitable for all skill levels.

Along the way, you will come across various points of interest. At the beginning of the trail, you will find parking areas such as Parkplatz Finanzamt and Parkplatz Hanreich. As you make your way through the hike, you will encounter viewpoints like Lockstein, where you can take in panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.

Midway through the hike, you will find multiple benches where you can take a break and relax. Additionally, there are restaurants and cafes like esszimmer and Berchtesgadener Schokoladenmanufaktur where you can grab a bite to eat or enjoy a refreshing drink.

Towards the end of the hike, you will find wayside crosses that add a touch of historic charm to the trail. Remember to bring plenty of water, wear comfortable hiking shoes, and check the weather forecast before setting out on this delightful hiking adventure. Enjoy your time on the Schablweg trail!
