This challenging hiking route will take you to the beautiful Rifugio Alpe della Colma in a stunning alpine setting. The trail is an out-and-back route with a total distance of 5.499 kilometers and an elevation gain of 672 meters, making it a difficult hike that will take approximately 2 hours and 57 minutes to complete.
You will start your journey at a parking area located right on the trail. As you make your way along the path, you will come across a wayside shrine at a distance of 2.13 kilometers from the start. This historical site adds a cultural touch to your hike. Further along the trail, at the 2.11 kilometer mark, you will encounter another wayside shrine, providing another opportunity to pause and reflect.
Midway through your hike, at a distance of 2.75 kilometers from the start, you will reach Rifugio Alpe della Colma, where you can take a break and enjoy some time at this alpine hut. Nearby, you will also find Rifugio Alpe Colma, offering another accommodation option for hikers. Additionally, there is a drinking water source located at 2.13 kilometers from the start and another one at 2.75 kilometers, ensuring you can stay hydrated during your journey.
Towards the end of the hike, at the 2.75 kilometer mark, you will reach Colma dei Prei, a saddle where you can take in panoramic views of the surrounding natural landscape.
