As you start your journey, you will come across the parking area, conveniently located at the beginning of the trail. About 1.4 kilometers into the hike, you will reach the Erlinsburg viewpoint, offering a scenic spot to rest and take in the panoramic views. Continuing on, at around 2.5 kilometers into the hike, you will find the Walderalp viewpoint, providing another opportunity to marvel at the natural beauty of the surroundings.
Along the trail, you will also encounter informational spots such as Stampfeli and various benches for a quick break or a snack. It is advisable to carry an ample water supply and check the weather forecast before embarking on this adventure. Additionally, at the 2.5-kilometer mark, there is a picnic site and a bench where you can relax and enjoy a meal amidst the serene ambiance.
Towards the end of the hike, you will pass by Vordere Erlinsburg castle, adding a touch of historical charm to your outdoor experience. The trail is an out-and-back route, so you will retrace your steps on the way back, allowing you to appreciate the scenery from a different perspective.
