This hike encompasses a 7.942-kilometer route with an elevation gain of 1069.0 meters, making it a difficult trek that will take approximately 4 hours and 30 minutes to complete. The trail is an out-and-back type, leading you to the stunning View to Unterer Grindelwaldgletscher (glacier) as the destination.
Starting the hike, you will come across the Marmorbruch, a marble quarry, just 0.71 kilometers from the trailhead. As you progress 0.66 kilometers into the hike, you will encounter the Marmorhöhle, a marble cave, and a restaurant for sustenance. Continuing on, at 3.43 kilometers into the hike, you will reach Alte Bäregg, ancient ruins worth exploring. At 0.09 kilometers from the start, the Gletscherschlucht offers a wheelchair-accessible tourist attraction. As you near the end of the trail, at 0.66 kilometers, you'll find Bungee Jumping available for the daring adventurers.
