This extremely difficult 17.549-kilometer out-and-back hiking route will lead you to the majestic Schwarzhoren peak. The trail starts at Grosse Scheidegg and offers a challenging elevation gain of 1355 meters.
As you begin your journey, you will pass by the Schutzhütte Lauchbühl shelter, which is located 0.84 kilometers from the start, providing a nice resting spot early on. Further along the trail at 2.14 kilometers, you will find a restaurant where you can refuel before continuing.
At the 3.41-kilometer mark, you will come across an information point, offering insights into the surrounding area. As you approach the 8.77-kilometer mark, you will reach the Schwarzhoren peak, offering breathtaking views of the region.
