This extremely difficult 17.549-kilometer out-and-back hiking route will lead you to the majestic Schwarzhoren peak. The trail starts at Grosse Scheidegg and offers a challenging elevation gain of 1355 meters.

As you begin your journey, you will pass by the Schutzhütte Lauchbühl shelter, which is located 0.84 kilometers from the start, providing a nice resting spot early on. Further along the trail at 2.14 kilometers, you will find a restaurant where you can refuel before continuing.

At the 3.41-kilometer mark, you will come across an information point, offering insights into the surrounding area. As you approach the 8.77-kilometer mark, you will reach the Schwarzhoren peak, offering breathtaking views of the region.

Throughout the hike, you will encounter several drinking water stations to keep you hydrated, with the nearest one located 0.93 kilometers from the start. Additionally, benches and picnic sites are scattered along the trail, providing opportunities to rest and enjoy the scenery.
