This hiking route will take you through a beautiful area leading to the Cascada Escondida waterfall. The trail is 7.76 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 142 meters, making it a difficult hike. It is recommended to bring plenty of water and check the weather forecast before starting the hike.
Starting at the trailhead, you will pass by a parking area within the first few meters. About 0.3 kilometers into the hike, you will find a campsite, followed by another campsite at 0.43 kilometers. As you continue on the trail, you will reach another campsite at 0.6 kilometers.
Around the 3.59-kilometer mark, you will find the entrance to the Hidden Waterfall (Entrada Cascada Escondida), located off the main trail. A bit further along at 3.88 kilometers, you will encounter the Cascada Escondida waterfall, which is a major attraction of this route. There is also a viewpoint nearby with a nice vantage point of the waterfall.
Throughout the hike, there are various benches for resting and enjoying the surroundings. Additionally, there is a drinking water station at 0.69 kilometers into the hike. At 1.92 kilometers, there is a climbing area for those interested in that activity.
This out-and-back route will take approximately 2 hours and 9 minutes to complete. Remember to stay hydrated, wear appropriate footwear, and be prepared for a challenging yet rewarding hiking experience.
