This extremely difficult out-and-back hiking route will take you to the stunning Lac d'Anthème in the beautiful area of Rives. The trail covers a distance of 13.091 kilometers and includes an elevation gain of 864.0 meters, making it a challenging yet rewarding adventure.

Starting at Rives, you can explore the area and visit the Cantine des Rives restaurant for some pre-hike fuel. As you make your way along the trail, you'll come across the Extrémité de la galerie Défago, an attraction worth checking out just 0.02 kilometers from the start.

Midway through the hike at around 5.85 kilometers, you'll find an information point to learn more about the surroundings. Further along the trail at 5.95 kilometers, there are two beautiful water spots, Lac d'Anthème, perfect for a peaceful break. Close by, at 5.82 kilometers, you'll also find the Cabane d'Antème alpine hut for a more rustic experience.

For those looking for a challenge, the peak of Tinderray at 5.1 kilometers from the start offers breathtaking panoramic views. It's a bit off the main trail, but definitely worth the extra effort.
