Located in a remote and rugged area, the hiking route to Monte Chiadin (Anticima est) offers a challenging adventure for experienced hikers. With a total distance of 8.355 kilometers and an elevation gain of 1320 meters, this trail is classified as extremely difficult and should only be attempted by those in good physical condition.
Starting at the trailhead, you will pass by a parking area at the beginning of the route. As you make your way along the trail, you will encounter the Madone dal cret di Navos wayside shrine at a distance of 0.88 kilometers from the start. This historical site provides a moment of reflection before continuing on towards the peak.
Midway through the hike, you will reach Giogo del Chiadin, a saddle point located 2.84 kilometers from the start. This spot offers panoramic views of the surrounding landscape and is a great place to take a break and refuel before the final ascent.
At a distance of 4.18 kilometers from the start, you will finally reach the summit of Monte Chiadin (Anticima est). Take in the stunning views from the peak and marvel at the beauty of the natural surroundings.
On the return journey, make sure to stop by Punta Salinas, a peak located 2.59 kilometers from the start. This picturesque location is perfect for snapping some photos and creating lasting memories of your hike.
