This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area of Sayaqmarka, Don Bosco, and Cuzco. The trail is relatively short, with a distance of 0.912 kilometers and no elevation gain, making it super easy for hikers of all levels.
As you start your journey, you'll come across a parking area at the beginning of the trail. Further along, at around 0.46 kilometers from the start, you'll find a viewpoint where you can stop and enjoy the scenic beauty of the surroundings.
Continuing on, you'll encounter the archaeological site of Sayaqmarka, located approximately 18.65 meters from the trail. This site offers a glimpse into the rich historical heritage of the region, with opening hours from 07:00 to 17:30 daily.
As you approach the midway point of the hike, you'll come across the historic castle of Sacsayhuaman, located about 0.36 kilometers from the trail. This archaeological site is a must-see, showcasing impressive stone structures and ancient ruins.
Throughout the hike, you'll also pass by various attractions and viewpoints, such as Chinkana Chica, Suchuna, Trono del Inka, and a waterfall, each offering unique experiences and photo opportunities.
