This hike will take you through the beautiful area of Arbarain/Illarragorri. The route is an out-and-back type, with a total distance of 7.5 kilometers and an elevation gain of 566 meters, making it a difficult hike that is suited for experienced hikers.
As you start your journey, you will come across a parking area right at the beginning of the trail. Along the way, you will encounter interesting points of interest such as the Euskal Herriko mugarria boundary stone, located 3.71 kilometers from the start. Further ahead, at 0.61 kilometers from the start, you will find the entrance to the La Leze / Jentilkoba cave.
As you continue on the trail, you will pass by the Olanoko Aitzandia peak at 1.81 kilometers from the start and the Olanoko Aiztxiki peak at 2.27 kilometers from the start. A picnic site will be found at 0.07 kilometers from the start, providing a nice spot to take a break and enjoy the surroundings.
At 3.75 kilometers from the start, you will reach the Arbarain/Illarragorri peak, offering panoramic views of the area. Along the way, you will also come across the Koloxkako leihoa / Ventana de Koloxka cave entrance at 1.05 kilometers from the start.
