This extremely difficult hiking route covers a distance of 15.117 kilometers with an elevation gain of 1176 meters, taking approximately 6 hours and 26 minutes to complete. The trail starts at Rifugio Pietro Fabiani and follows an out-and-back route.
At the beginning of the hike, you will find parking areas for your convenience. As you progress along the trail, you will come across Casera Promosio, an alpine hut not directly on the trail but worth a visit. Further along, at a distance of 2.23 kilometers from the start, you will reach Sella Cercevesa, a saddle point offering scenic views.
Around the midway point of the hike, at a distance of 3.22 kilometers from the start, you will encounter the ruins of Ruderi Casera Cercevesa, providing a glimpse into the area's historic past. Additionally, there are drinking water facilities available close to the trail for you to refill your water bottles.
Towards the end of the hike, approximately 7.56 kilometers from the start, you will reach Rifugio Pietro Fabiani, an alpine hut where you can rest and relax before heading back along the same trail.
Due to the length and elevation gain of this hike, it is recommended to be well-prepared with proper hiking gear, sufficient water, and snacks.
