This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area surrounding Windschaufel. The trail is 13.159 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 982 meters, making it an extremely difficult hike that will challenge even experienced hikers.

As you start your journey, you will come across the Rattendorfer Alm alpine hut, a cozy accommodation nestled just 0.03 kilometers from the trail. This is a great spot to rest and take in the stunning views before continuing on.

Along the way, you will pass by the Hochwipfel peak, located 4.75 kilometers from the start of the trail. This is a perfect opportunity to capture some amazing photos and enjoy the panoramic vistas.

Further into the hike, at the 6.58 kilometer mark, you will reach the Windschaufel peak, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. Be sure to take your time here and soak in the beauty of the area.

As you make your way back, you will encounter various points of interest such as the Soldatenweg Ringmauer information point, located 2.04 kilometers from the start, where you can learn more about the history of the area.
