This extremely difficult hiking route takes you to the stunning Grosses Hundshorn peak in a beautiful area. The 12.956-kilometer trail offers 916 meters of elevation gain and is estimated to take around 5 hours and 17 minutes to complete.
As you start your journey, you will pass by Bergers Feinheit, a cozy cafe located just 13.85 meters from the trail. Make sure to grab a snack or a hot beverage to energize yourself for the challenging hike ahead. Just 1.6 meters from the trail, you will find a convenient parking area to leave your vehicle before embarking on the adventure.
The highlight of the hike is reaching the Grosses Hundshorn peak, located 24.57 meters from the trail at around 6.48 kilometers into the route. The breathtaking views from the peak make the strenuous climb worth it.
As this is an out-and-back route, you will retrace your steps on the way back. Remember to bring plenty of water, sturdy hiking shoes, and check the weather forecast before setting out.
