This hiking route will take you through a challenging and extremely difficult trail in the Moleta d’Aitana area. The trail covers a distance of 15.979 kilometers with an elevation gain of 436 meters, taking approximately 4 hours and 47 minutes to complete.
Starting at the trailhead, you will come across a parking area and a water source within the first kilometer. As you continue on, around the 2-kilometer mark, you will reach the Port de Tudons viewpoint offering scenic views of the surroundings.
Halfway through the hike, approximately 6.47 kilometers from the start, you will find the Font de l'Arbre picnic site, a perfect spot to take a break and refuel. Further along the trail, at around 7.99 kilometers in, you will reach the Moleta d’Aitana peak, a rewarding destination with stunning views.
On the way back, you can stop by the Cannibal pub, located close to the start of the trail. Additionally, there are spring water sources like Font del Grifo and Font de l'Arbre along the trail to replenish your water supply.
Due to the length and elevation gain, this hike is considered extremely difficult and suitable for experienced hikers. It is crucial to bring an adequate amount of water, snacks, and to check the weather forecast before embarking on this challenging adventure.
