This challenging 11.191-kilometer circular hike to Monte Vena Rossa offers stunning views and various points of interest along the way. Starting from the trailhead, you will pass by the Necropoli Longobarda di Castel Trosino archaeological site, located just 0.27 kilometers from the start.

As you continue on the trail, you will reach Rifugio Mario Paci alpine hut, approximately 3.48 kilometers from the beginning, where you can rest and enjoy some local cuisine at La Taverna del Longobardo restaurant nearby. The hut also serves as a nice resting point before continuing on the journey.

Further along the route, at 4.29 kilometers from the start, you will encounter Monte Giammatura peak with a distance of 194.424 meters off the trail. While not directly on the path, it offers a great opportunity for a side excursion if you are up for the challenge.

At around 5.18 kilometers from the start, you will find Monte Vena Rossa peak and the nearby climbing spot Falesia Vena Rossa. Additionally, Croci dei Partigiani wayside cross is located in the same vicinity, adding a touch of historic charm to the landscape.

Hikers can also explore Grotta della Margherita cave entrance at 4.78 kilometers from the start, providing a unique and adventurous experience along the way.
