This challenging 8.121-kilometer circular hiking route in the Falken area offers stunning views and a variety of points of interest along the way.

Starting off, you will find a parking area conveniently located at the beginning of the trail. Make sure to park here before embarking on your journey. Approximately 2.05 kilometers into the hike, you will come across the Berggaststätte Hochhäderich restaurant, where you can take a break and refuel with some delicious food. This restaurant offers limited wheelchair access and is open from Thursday to Tuesday between 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM.

As you continue on, at around 3.86 kilometers into the hike, you will reach the peak known as "Auf dem Falken," where you can enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding natural beauty. Just a bit further along the trail, at 3.88 kilometers, you will also encounter another peak called "Falken," adding to the scenic experience.

At the 3.02-kilometer mark, you will find a water feature off the trail, perfect for a refreshing stop and a chance to take in the peaceful surroundings. Additionally, at 0.32 kilometers into the hike, there is another water feature conveniently located right along the trail.

For those looking to extend their hike, the Almhotel Hochhäderich restaurant is located at 0.17 kilometers from the start, offering another dining option along the way. If you're in need of a quick snack, a fast food spot is also nearby, just 0.18 kilometers from the start.

Towards the end of the hike, at approximately 2.19 kilometers from the start, you will reach the peak of Hochhäderich, providing one last opportunity to soak in the surrounding natural beauty before completing the circular route.

With an elevation gain of 383 meters, this difficult hike is best suited for experienced hikers. Remember to bring plenty of water, wear appropriate footwear, and check the weather forecast before setting out on this adventure.
