Welcome to the Katzensteig trail in Oberstaufen. This super easy hike offers a picturesque route with a total distance of 1.139 kilometers and an elevation gain of 34 meters.

Starting at the trailhead, you will come across the Hopfenlift parking lot, located 0.17 kilometers from the start. This is a convenient spot to leave your vehicle before embarking on the hike. As you continue, at 0.3 kilometers from the start, you will find another parking area with no fees and open from 6:00-22:00 daily.

Midway through the hike, at 0.51 kilometers from the start, you will pass by a bench where you can take a moment to rest and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Additionally, there are informative tourist spots along the trail, providing insights into the area's history and natural features.

At 0.57 kilometers from the start, you will encounter multiple water sources, perfect for refilling your water bottle and taking a refreshing break. These natural water spots offer a serene atmosphere amidst the lush greenery.

As you reach the end of the trail, make sure to visit the information point at 0.51 kilometers from the start to learn more about the Katzensteig area. The trail is an out-and-back route, so you will retrace your steps back to the starting point.
