Welcome to the Frauenkar hiking route! This extremely difficult 12.269-kilometer out-and-back trail offers a challenging adventure for experienced hikers.

Located in a picturesque area, the trail starts at a convenient parking area where you can leave your vehicle before embarking on your journey. As you begin your hike, you will come across the Bachalm, a cozy alpine hut and restaurant located 4 kilometers from the starting point. This is a great spot to take a break, refuel, and enjoy the stunning surroundings.

Along the trail, you will encounter several water sources, providing opportunities to rehydrate and cool off. These natural water spots are never too far away, with the closest one just 14 meters from the trail. Remember to bring enough water with you, as the hike is long and strenuous.

For those interested in learning more about the area, informative signs can be found along the trail, offering insights into the local flora, fauna, and history. There are also benches strategically placed for hikers to rest and take in the breathtaking views.

Reaching an elevation gain of 1076 meters, this hike is not for the faint of heart. It is crucial to be well-prepared with proper hiking gear, sufficient water, and snacks. Checking the weather forecast before heading out is also recommended, as conditions can change quickly in mountainous regions.
