This extremely difficult 12.115 km circular hiking route takes you through the stunning mountainous terrain of the area. The trail starts at a parking area located right at the beginning of the hike. As you progress, you will come across several points of interest along the way.
About 0.15 km from the start, you will find the Bergheim restaurant where you can grab a bite to eat. Further along, at around 0.46 km into the hike, there is an information point for tourists to learn more about the area.
At the midway point, approximately 5.55 km from the start, you will encounter a natural water source where you can refill your water bottles. As you continue, around 4.31 km in, there is another tourism information spot for you to explore.
Towards the end of the hike, at about 4.94 km from the start, you will find a natural spring to quench your thirst. Finally, at the 4.19 km mark, the Potsdamer Hütte alpine hut provides a cozy accommodation option for those looking to spend the night in the mountains.
Given the length of the hike and the 573.0 meters of elevation gain, this trail is recommended for experienced hikers. Make sure to bring plenty of water, snacks, and proper hiking gear. Also, be sure to check the weather forecast before setting out on this challenging adventure.
