This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area surrounding Hackenberg. The trail is circular and covers a distance of approximately 3.8 kilometers with an elevation gain of 72 meters, making it an easy hike suitable for all skill levels.
Starting at the parking area, you will begin your journey and soon come across the Ouvrage du Hackenberg, a historic fort located 1.25 kilometers from the start of the trail. As you continue on, you will pass by a picnic site and a shelter, offering opportunities to rest and enjoy the surroundings.
Midway through the hike, you will reach the peak of Hackenberg, a natural attraction located 1.71 kilometers from the start. Take in the breathtaking views before heading back towards the trailhead.
On your way back, you can stop by La Guinguette du Soldat, a cafe where you can grab a snack or a refreshing drink.
