This hiking route is located in a beautiful area with stunning views and historical landmarks. The trail is considered super easy, making it suitable for hikers of all levels.
You will start your journey at the trailhead where there is parking available. As you begin your hike, you will come across various points of interest along the way.
At the beginning of the trail, you will find a parking area and the viewpoint called Cargill's Leap. This is a great spot to take in the scenery and snap some photos. Further along the trail, you will also pass by the Plash Mill and the Meikle Mill, which are both archaeological sites worth exploring.
Midway through the hike, you will come across the Ericht Alehouse and the Ericht Alehouse, where you can take a break and grab a bite to eat. There are also picnic sites along the trail where you can stop for a rest and enjoy a meal surrounded by nature.
Near the end of the trail, you will find a water source which is perfect for filling up your water bottle. As you head back towards the trailhead, you can stop at Cargills Bistro for a meal or visit the Fair O'Blair pub for a refreshing drink.
